A Happy Dance!

It's finished! Finally finished! This one was defo not enjoyable to stitch at all, even tho the finish piece looks very nice. The whole thing is 1 over 1 on 28 count. My first time doing that, and the last. The empty square is for a key charm, which I already have, just need to add to it.

I hope to stitch part 11 of my ATW next week. Hubby has been away a lot lately and Eddie has been on a good phase, going to bed early and staying in it (which is more important) so I have been having more alone-time lately. My way of coping with not seeing hubby as much is by cleaning the house like a crazy person and stitching A LOT. More of the latter of course. But house looks pretty clean and tidy too.
And I have been cutting scraps of paper into octagons for some patchwork cards (this fits into my cleaning/organizing time). This is still a plan and I'm cutting loads at the moment and will put them together in panels so when I get the sewing machine out, I only have to add the stitches. Watch this space ladies :)

I haven't touched my mini album this week. I have cardboards cut to size and the acrylic paint right beside the bag, staring at me. I'm dying to buy the travelling designs paper pad from Do Craft but haven't had time (or the spare money) to go to an ArtsnHobbies lately. Silly life getting on the way again...

I'm baaaack, and full of updates!

Hello Ladies,

I did tell last time I posted that I would be absent for a while. DS had surgery to remove his tonsils, but because he is a cardiac patient, there were a couple of measures we had to take before it and it took me a while to get ready. This week I have been housebound with him, and because he wanted me sitting near him while he watched tv (seriously, I couldnt even get a glass of water without him crying...) I did get lots of stitching done!
It's been a slow and boring week, and without my stitching I would be lost! Thank God my wrists arent sore.
I have worked on 3 different projects this week.
First, my HAED, finally finished page 2. 2 down, 35 to go....
Finished part 3 on Birds Sampler. I thought that this was a big part and I was getting tired of the colours, thats why I have done rotation on the projects.
I have the 'C Sampler' out all the time. I find very hard to stitch on it. Its 28 count white fabric, stitching full crosses, 1 over 1. It kills my eyes... so I found that if I have it out and stitch a bit every now and then, I will probably have it finished soon. Another thing is that I dont have that pattern on my tablet so I can stitch when DS is playing on it lying on my lap.

Photos!
Finished Page 2 on HAED - Filligree

Finished Part 3 on Birds Sampler - Angie Designs

Lots done on my 'C Sampler'
And I have crocheted another blanket for Henry the Bear Blanketeers while in hospital with DS.

Owwww, btw, today is day 8 after surgery and Eddie is back eating and drinking nearly as normal. We had a couple of rough days, specially with all the mouth ulcers he had. Poor boy couldn't drink a glass of milk without crying. All past now!!!

I cant believe it's Monday already.
A big welcome to all new followers and a warm hi to the current ones. It is so nice to see people are actually reading and stopping by my blog.

Yesterday I met with the Dublin ladies for a chat and some stitching time. It's more chatting and eating cake then stitching really, but all good.

And here is what I have worked on last week:

White Evenweave 28count - 1 over 1 - Full crosses

I think I have done lots, not that I had noticed til I took the picture this morning.

This week I will be working on my ATW. I cant fall too behind on it or I will just lose interest. I know myself...

Talk soon,

Cami

I shouldn't, but...

I know.... I shouldn't be stitching until my wrists weren't sore anymore, but I just cant stay away for too long.
And to make matters worse, I have started a new project:

I have bought this magazine last summer when visiting my parents in Brazil. So here is what happened: The mag is actually from Spain and was being sold in a mega pack with issue 180,181 and 182. This sampler is part of an ABC Sampler and it was released monthly. I checked mag 181 and it had letters C and D. Checked mag 182 and it had E and F. My husband is Aidan, Im Camila and my son is Edward and I thought:  how nice would it be to have 3 small cushions with our initials? By my counts, issue 180 should had A and B (just a thought, right?), so I bought the mega pack and went home all happy. When I came back home to Ireland, I found out that the series had started on issue 179, so I didn't have A and B after all. So off to internet to order the old issue from the company. I paid more for the old issue + postage from Spain to Ireland than whole mega pack in Brazil!!!

Anyway, I have started the C this weekend:

I'm doing full crosses on 28 count, 1 over 1. I know... crazy right? I think so...
I should have gone for half stitch 2 over 1, but now I already have a good amount of stitches and I am just NOT ripping it!

So one more project to my WIPs and this is gonna fit nicely into rotation :)
